Sharptail Grouse

Blue Valley Ranch was recently featured in an article in the Summit Daily News, highlighting a cooperative project with the Colorado Division of Wildlife to re-introduce sharptail grouse to a portion of their former home range.  The project was initiated in 2006, and the grouse have done well, establishing 2 leks and successfully breeding (see photo of a chick below).
