Merry Christmas 2012!

Every year, just after Thanksgiving, Blue Valley Ranch turns on our annual Christmas lights display.  It’s something the staff looks forward too every year, and, as you can see, it can even be viewed from the highway.

The lights generate a lot of comments every year after they come on, but by far the most are directed at the “Big Blue Gate” at the entrance to the ranch.  We’ve been jokingly asked if it can be seen from space.

All of the lights are LED, so they use a minimum of energy.  However, they do take quite a while to put up and take down every year.  And, yes, we do take them down every year.
