2016 1st Quarter Wildlife Report
We’ve just posted Blue Valley Ranch’s Wildlife Report for the 1st quarter of 2016. While the early winter was pretty mild, a long cold snap and some pretty heavy snow in February has made the mid-winter months a little hard on wildlife.
Highlights of the report include a great close-up of a lion, some wintering sharp-tailed grouse, and some really impressive shots of mule deer using the new Hwy 9 overpass, taken from the perspective of a passing motorist.
Special thanks to ranch wildlife biologist Josh Richert for the report and photos!
